FIVE CAPTAIN'S RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LIDO
Lido Food Group has been awarded a total of five ‘Captain’s Recommendations’ by the authoritative Superyacht Services Guide to the Caribbean, considered to be the ‘Captain’s Inside Guide.’
The Publication, well established and recognised by the international community of yachting professionals, awards “Captain’s Recommendations’ to mega-yachting services based solely on interviews and feedback from the captains and crews themselves.
The Lido Food Group gained five Captain’s Recommendations across two categories.
Lido Yacht Provisioning, set up by the Lido Food Group to service mega yachts, earned a Recommendation in the Specialist Provisioning section. The comments read: “they have direct access to a massive stock range of fresh international produce.”
Lido Food Center and the Lido Food Express stores as well as 7-Alive have been awarded Recommendations in the Provisioning category. Amongst the reasons is mentioned: “In summary, the Lido Food stores are run by a multi-national management team, with many years of experience, that are specifically sensitive to the different ‘market niches’ of each area they cover …”
Lido Food Group recognised the needs of the mega-yacht business early on and decided to focus part of its business on this very specialised market, where every customer has its own highly individual demands. Lido Yacht Provisioning is a customised provisioning service with the ability to cater to any mega-yacht berthing in St. Maarten. This means being able to deliver special ranges such as organic or Kosher food and offering a wide selection of top quality fresh produce, delicatessen or sashimi grade fish, to name just a few examples.
It also means having the broadest possible expert knowledge of international cuisine and being able to be flexible and source more rare items within the shortest possible time in order to build up customer’s trust and confidence. “We are very thankful that our customers have expressed this trust and confidence,” was the reaction from the Lido Food Group.
